Taught by Harvard University faculty David Cox, learners in this MicroBachelors Program will receive a comprehensive introduction to key neuroscience concepts and explore the structure and function of the human nervous system. You will build your understanding of neuroscience step by step, studying the electrical properties of individual neurons, examining how neurons pass signals to one another, and observing how complex dynamics result from just a few neurons. You’ll explore sensation, perception, and the functions of different regions of the brain. As you proceed through the program, you will develop problem-solving skills and apply your knowledge to interpret data and evaluate medical scenarios. You will also hear from industry experts to understand how scientists pursue new knowledge in the field.
